Maddie – despite your Scottish roots, you were an English rose in every respect! And yours and Rob’s day followed suit – elegant, simple in style and beautiful.
White roses mixed with rustic wild flowers, pale green floating bridesmaids dresses, simple table decorations with a little pot of jam as a gift… And all at the lovely George Pub in Rye, which gets the balance between traditional and modern just right, giving the whole day a wonderful fresh feel.
Amongst all the Englishness, I loved the Scottish traditions which were brilliantly thrown in, not least the parade of bag pipes to start off the evening entertainment! Aptly timed the day after the Scottish referendum, the whole day was a wonderful meeting of English rose with Scottish traditions.
