Messing about in boats

there is nothing – absolutely nothing – half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.

Takes me back to my childhood days… but how lovely to bring this into your wedding day. I’ll admit it made my job a little more challenging – canal boats aren’t renowned for their natural light and space. But a challenge can often create the most interesting results. The morning on the boat felt intimate and informal, and everyone chipped in to help. There were no issues with traffic en route to the wedding either – Daddy Kipps chauffered the wedding party down the river and moored up on the banks of the Thames, welcomed by a very excited group of guests. That’s arriving in style!

The whole day felt like a perfect English Country Garden Party, blessed with a beautiful sunny day!

Kipps family – it’s always a pleasure to photograph your family weddings!
